I went to Drag-Con Uk!!! (And it was Awesome!!!!)
If you read my previous blog-post on Astro-Cartography, you’ll have noted that London is a city full of promise, opportunity and good times for me. So it was absolutely the perfect setting for my first Drag Con!
I am FAN of all the foreign franchises of RuPaul’s Drag Race so I had the most FANTASTIC time!!!! I landed at London-Heathrow early Friday morning, January 6 and got myself to the venue, the smashingly innovative ExCel London in time for the Queen’s Walk at 10:30 AM. (Click here to see my somewhat fuzzy video of the Queen’s Walk at DragCon UK 2023). I was still lugging my bags as I couldn’t check into my hotel yet, so just before the Queen’s Walk began….

Violet Chachki is unabashedly sex-positive. She exudes an expensive style of self-confidence and poise and yet she can also be super silly when she’s with Gottmik on their hit YouTube show “No Gorge” - which is basically two snooty drag queens clowning around 👑
This summer I had two opportunities to see my diva perform in all her glory. One, an up-close club gig and the other, her epic drag-burlesque-acrobatic masterpiece, A Lot More Me.

How uncanny that on Friday's episode of RuPaul's Drag Race, there was a Dragon Fly in the Werk Room.
Dragon Flies have long been associated with mysticism, transformation and a shedding of darkness to discover hidden luminosity. Dragon Flies are also associated with the faerie realm.

I don't have to read endless fan accounts of heart-warming Meet & Greets with Season 7 Super-Star (and Ms. Congeniality) Katya Zamolochikova to know that she has a kind of tender consciousness that allows her to, as one fan put it, "interact and connect with a multitude of people and give each of them a completely different experience and sense of connection to her, so you can tell how truly emotionally intelligent Katya is". Because, reiterating that point, Season 7 Untucked reveals many of her fellow Drag Race contestants considered her their new best friend.
